2018-01-18qemu: add a cleanup callback function to EventNotifierGal Hammer
Adding a cleanup callback function to the EventNotifier struct which allows users to execute event_notifier_cleanup in a different context. Signed-off-by: Gal Hammer <ghammer@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
2017-03-29event_notifier: prevent accidental use after closeHalil Pasic
Let's set the handles to the underlying facilities to their extremal value so no accidental misuse can happen, and to make it obvious that the notifier is dysfunctional. E.g. if we just close an fd but do not touch the int holding the fd eventually a read/write could succeed again when the fd gets reused, and corrupt the file addressed by the fd. 2017-01-16event_notifier: cleanups around event_notifier_set_handlerPaolo Bonzini
Remove the useless is_external argument. Since the iohandler AioContext is never used for block devices, aio_disable_external is never called on it. This lets us remove stubs/iohandler.c. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2016-04-22event-notifier: Add "is_external" parameterFam Zheng
All callers pass "false" keeping the old semantics. The windows implementation doesn't distinguish the flag yet. On posix, it is passed down to the underlying aio context.
