2012-08-29ivshmem: remove redundant ioeventfd configurationCam Macdonell
setup_ioeventfds() is unnecessary and actually causes a segfault when used ioeventfd=on is used on the command-line. Since ioeventfds are handled within the memory API, it can be removed. Signed-off-by: Cam Macdonell <cam@cs.ualberta.ca> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-08-23ivshmem: fix memory_region_del_eventfd assertion failurePaolo Bonzini
We do not register ioeventfds unless the IVSHMEM_IOEVENTFD feature is set. The same feature must be checked before releasing the eventfds. Regression introduced by commit 563027c (ivshmem: use EventNotifier and memory API, 2012-07-05). 2012-07-12memory: pass EventNotifier, not eventfdPaolo Bonzini
Under Win32, EventNotifiers will not have event_notifier_get_fd, so we cannot call it in common code such as hw/virtio-pci.c. Pass a pointer to the notifier, and only retrieve the file descriptor in kvm-specific code. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com>

2012-06-07msi: Invoke msi/msix_reset from PCI coreJan Kiszka
There is no point in pushing this burden to the devices, they tend to forget to call them (like intel-hda, ahci, xhci did). Instead, reset functions are now called from pci_device_reset. They do nothing if MSI/MSI-X is not in use. 2012-04-11ivshmem: add missing msix callsMichael S. Tsirkin
ivshmem used msix but didn't call it on either reset or config write paths. This used to partically work since guests don't use all of msi-x configuration fields, and reset is rarely used, but the patch 'msix: track function masked in pci device state' broke that. 2012-02-15qom: Unify type registrationAndreas Färber
Replace device_init() with generalized type_init(). 2012-02-03qdev: register all types natively through QEMU Object ModelAnthony Liguori
This was done in a mostly automated fashion. I did it in three steps and then rebased it into a single step which avoids repeatedly touching every file in the tree. The first step was a sed-based addition of the parent type to the subclass registration functions. The second step was another sed-based removal of subclass registration functions while also adding virtual functions from the base class into a class_init function as appropriate. Finally, a python script was used to convert the DeviceInfo structures and qdev_register_subclass functions to TypeInfo structures, class_init functions, and type_register_static calls. We are almost fully converted to QOM after this commit. Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>

2012-01-04vmstate, memory: decouple vmstate from memory APIAvi Kivity
Currently creating a memory region automatically registers it for live migration. This differs from other state (which is enumerated in a VMStateDescription structure) and ties the live migration code into the memory core. Decouple the two by introducing a separate API, vmstate_register_ram(), for registering a RAM block for migration. Currently the same implementation is reused, but later it can be moved into a separate list, and registrations can be moved to VMStateDescription blocks. Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com>

2010-12-11Add endianness as io mem parameterAlexander Graf
As stated before, devices can be little, big or native endian. The target endianness is not of their concern, so we need to push things down a level. This patch adds a parameter to cpu_register_io_memory that allows a device to choose its endianness. For now, all devices simply choose native endian, because that's the same behavior as before.
