2018-07-18mtd: maps: use mtd_device_register() where applicableRafał Miłecki
If driver doesn't specify parsers it can use that little helper. Signed-off-by: Rafał Miłecki <rafal@milecki.pl> Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@bootlin.com>
2015-10-19mtd: maps: rbtx4939-flash: fix compile errorBrian Norris
We got the syntax wrong here. Compile tested this time! Error: drivers/mtd/maps/rbtx4939-flash.c: In function 'rbtx4939_flash_probe': >> drivers/mtd/maps/rbtx4939-flash.c:99:11: error: request for member 'dev' in something not a structure or union info->mtd.dev.parent = &dev->dev; ^ Fixes: 9aa7e50276c1 ("mtd: maps: rbtx4939-flash: show parent device in sysfs") Reported-by: kbuild test robot <fengguang.wu@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com> Cc: Frans Klaver <fransklaver@gmail.com>
2015-10-13mtd: maps: rbtx4939-flash: show parent device in sysfsFrans Klaver
Fix a bug where mtd parent device symlinks aren't shown in sysfs. While at it, make use of the default owner value set by mtdcore. Signed-off-by: Frans Klaver <fransklaver@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2014-10-20mtd: maps: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>

2014-03-10mtd: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. 2013-08-30mtd: maps: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han
Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2013-08-05mtd: maps: rbtx4939-flash: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound). Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. Err has only been initialized to 0 at this, so it is not possible that this test can be true. Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2012-03-27mtd: do not use plain 0 as NULLArtem Bityutskiy
The first 3 arguments of 'mtd_device_parse_register()' are pointers, but many callers pass '0' instead of 'NULL'. Fix this globally. Thanks to coccinelle for making it easy to do with the following semantic patch: @@ expression mtd, types, parser_data, parts, nr_parts; @@ ( -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, 0, parser_data, parts, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, NULL, parser_data, parts, nr_parts) | -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, 0, parts, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, NULL, parts, nr_parts) | -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, parser_data, 0, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, parser_data, NULL, nr_parts) ) Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2012-01-09mtd: do not use mtd->suspend and mtd->resume directlyArtem Bityutskiy

2012-01-09mtd: convert drivers/mtd/* to use module_platform_driver()Axel Lin
This patch converts the drivers in drivers/mtd/* to use the module_platform_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. 2011-09-11mtd: rbtx4939-flash.c: use mtd_device_parse_registerDmitry Eremin-Solenikov
Replace custom invocations of parse_mtd_partitions and mtd_device_register with common mtd_device_parse_register call. This would bring: standard handling of all errors, fallback to default partitions, etc. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <Artem.Bityutskiy@nokia.com>
2011-09-11mtd: rbtx4939-flash don't specify default parsing optionsDmitry Eremin-Solenikov
Since 'cmdline, NULL' is now a default for parse_mtd_partitions, don't specify this in every driver, instead pass NULL to force parse_mtd_partitions to use default. 2011-05-25mtd: rbtx4939-flash: convert to mtd_device_register()Jamie Iles

2009-05-26[MTD] Remove mtd->{suspend,resume} calls from board driversDavid Woodhouse
