An spi_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the
driver core.

Now that we have wlcore device-tree bindings in place
(for both wl12xx and wl18xx), remove the legacy
wl12xx_platform_data struct, and move its members
into the platform device data (that is passed to wlcore)
Davinci 850 is the only platform that still set
the platform data in the legacy way (and doesn't
have DT bindings), so remove the relevant
code/Kconfig option from the board file (as suggested
by Sekhar Nori)
Since no one currently uses wlcore_spi, simply remove its
platform data support (DT bindings will have to be added
if someone actually needs it)

This patch introduces the use of devm_kzalloc and does away with the
kfrees in the probe and remove functions. Also, a couple of labels and
the initial assignment of the ret variable in the probe function are
removed.

These devices require commands stored in buffers in an odd order,
different from that in which the CRC is computed.
Rather than make two copies of the commands in two different orders,
form the commands in logical (CRC) order, append the CRC, then byte-swap
in place to the desired order.
The old code worked fine, I'm just scratching an "ugh, that's ugly"
itch.

This eliminates a 1-bit left shift in every single caller,
and makes the inner loop of the CRC computation more efficient.
Renamed crc7 to crc7_be (big-endian) since the interface changed.
Also purged #include <linux/crc7.h> from files that don't use it at all.

Coverity CID 986698 reports leakage of struct wlcore_platdev_data in the
probe functions of both the SPI/SDIO interfaces. The structure passed to
platform_device_add_data() is dynamically allocated and only freed in the
error paths, however, platform_device_add_data() adds a copy of the platform
specific data to the device. Move the temporary struct that is kmemdup'ed
to the stack. This issue exists since afb43e6d (wlcore: remove if_ops from
platform_data).

accessing dev->platform_data directly. This is a cosmetic change

In commit 0d2e7a5c (wireless: Remove unnecessary alloc/OOM messages,
alloc cleanups) OOM messages after alloc were removed from the wlcore
modules.
Commit afb43e6d (wlcore: remove if_ops from platform_data)
reintroduced a couple of those. This patch removes them.

The platform devices can be created by both wlcore_sdio and
wlcore_spi. Theoretically, if both are connected to the same board,
there will be a conflict.

We can't pass pointers from the platform data to the modules, because
with DT it cannot be done. Those pointers are not set by the board
files anyway. It's the bus modules that set them, so they can be
safely removed from the platform data without changing any board
files.
Create a new structure that the bus modules pass to wlcore. This
structure contains the if_ops pointers and a pointer to the actual
platform data.

CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev*
markings will be going away.
Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst,
and __devexit.

In corner case for wl12xx_spi_raw_write() when
len == SPI_AGGR_BUFFER_SIZE
we don't setup correctly spi transfer_list.
Next we will have garbage and strange errors
reported by SPI framework (eg. wrong speed_hz,
failed to transfer one message from queue)
when iterate transfer_list.

platform_device_unregister() only calls platform_device_del() and
platform_device_put(), thus use platform_device_unregister() to
simplify the code.
Also the documents in platform.c shows that platform_device_del
and platform_device_put must _only_ be externally called in error
cases. All other usage is a bug.

Limit SPI transmissions to the wl12xx max buffer size, as only 12xx was
tested with SPI.
This allows us to remove the global aggregation buffer constant.

We have some API changes and new features in the new firmwares that
are not compatible with older drivers. Increase the version of the FW
filenames for wl12xx to 5.
Additionally, remove the duplicate definitions from wlcore_i.h and
remove the MODULE_FIRMWARE macro calls from the SDIO and SPI modules,
since they're irrelevant there.

All io functions' return values should be propagated and handled. Add a
__must_check annotation to verify that the return values are checked and
to avoid future mistakes.

While bus operations may fail, either due to HW or FW issues, these are
never propagated to higher layers. As a result, the core driver has no
way of knowing that the operations failed, and will only recover if high
level logic requires it (e.g. no command completion).
Change read/write bus operations to return errors to let higher layer
functionality handle these.

Add register tables support in wlcore, add some new IO functions to
read and write to chip-specific register and data addresses. Move
some common register values from wl12xx to wlcore and add the
registers table to wl12xx.

Rename the wl12xx driver directory to wlcore as an initial step
towards the split of the driver into wlcore and wl12xx. We just
rename the directory first to keep git blame happy.
