2013-10-16ARM: pxa: Initialize PWM backlight enable_gpio fieldThierry Reding
The GPIO API defines 0 as being a valid GPIO number, so this field needs to be initialized explicitly. A special case is the Palm Tungsten|C board. 2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. 2012-10-28ARM: pxa: hx4700: Fix backlight PWM device numberPaul Parsons
Recent changes to PXA PWM support changed the PXA27X PWM device numbering scheme. The linux-3.5 PXA PWM driver followed the hardware numbering scheme for the 4 PWMs, while the linux-3.6-rc1 PXA PWM driver has adopted a linear numbering scheme: Address Hardware 3.5 pwm_id 3.6-rc1 pwm_id 0x40b00000 PWM0 0 0 0x40b00010 PWM2 2 1 0x40c00000 PWM1 1 2 0x40c00010 PWM3 3 3 The hx4700 backlight uses PWM1 at 0x40c00000. Consequently the pwm_id must be changed from 1 to 2. This patch fixes the backlight PWM device number and at the same time moves from the legacy PWM API (pwm_id) to the new PWM API (pwm_lookup). 2012-07-01ARM: pxa: hx4700: Fix basic suspend/resumePaul Parsons
Basic suspend/resume is fixed by ensuring that the PGSR registers are set correctly before sleep mode is entered. In particular four of the active low resets need to be driven high while in sleep mode, otherwise the unit resets itself instead of suspending. Another problem was that the PCFR_GPROD bit is set by the HTC bootloader; this caused GPIO reset (i.e. the reset button) to fail immediately after returning from sleep mode. Add the two standard UART signals (GPIO46_STUART_RXD, GPIO47_STUART_TXD) to the initial mfp config table hx4700_pin_config[] passed to pxa2xx_mfp_config(). Although pxa2xx_transceiver_mode() can subsequently set these two signals via its own call to pxa2xx_mfp_config(), pxa2xx_transceiver_mode() is only present when CONFIG_PXA_FICP=y. This patch enables the ASIC3 GPIO (12) as a wakeup source: 1. Set the WAKEUP_ON_EDGE_RISE MFP config bits for GPIO12 in hx4700_pin_config[]. 2. Call gpio_set_wake() for GPIO12. With GPIO12 thus enabled, the mfd/asic3 driver can enable its own GPIOs as wakeup sources by implementing a irq_set_wake() handler. 2012-03-06pxa: magician/hx4700: Convert to gpio-regulator from bq24022Heiko Stübner
The bq24022 on these machines is a very simple regulator using gpios. One provides the on/off functionality and a second one is used to change the current between 100 and 500 mA. This functionality can also be provided by the more generic gpio-regulator. Therefore convert both machines which makes it possible to remove the bq24022 driver later on. The hx4700 platform configuration defines a single 128Mb flash resource, resulting in the MTD physmap-flash driver probing the first device only and presuming the second device is identical: physmap platform flash device: 08000000 at 00000000 physmap-flash: Found 2 x16 devices at 0x0 in 32-bit bank. Manufacturer ID 0x000089 Chip ID 0x008816 physmap-flash: Found 2 x16 devices at 0x4000000 in 32-bit bank <snip> erase region 0: offset=0x0,size=0x10000,blocks=4 erase region 1: offset=0x40000,size=0x40000,blocks=255 erase region 2: offset=0x4000000,size=0x10000,blocks=4 erase region 3: offset=0x4040000,size=0x40000,blocks=255 physmap-flash: 2 set(s) of 2 interleaved chips --> 32 partitions of 4096 KiB Unfortunately the two devices are not identical. The first has a device ID of 0x8816, identifying a bottom parameter device. The second has a device ID of 0x8813, identifying a top parameter device. By not probing the second device, physmap-flash does not discover the correct block sizes. 2011-05-20ARM: 6910/1: MTD: physmap: let set_vpp() pass a platform_device instead of a ↵Marc Zyngier
map_info The set_vpp() method provided by physmap passes a map_info back to the platform code, which has little relevance as far as the platform is concerned (this parameter is completely unused). Instead, pass the platform_device, which can be used in the pismo driver to retrieve some important information in a nicer way, instead of the hack that was in place. The empty set_vpp function in board-at572d940hf_ek.c is left untouched, as the board/SoC is scheduled for removal. This patch moves the platform data definition from arch/arm/plat-pxa/include/plat/i2c.h to include/linux/i2c/pxa-i2c.h so it can be accessed from x86 the same way as on ARM. This change should make no functional change to the PXA code. The PXA-SPI driver relies on some files / defines which are arm specific and are within the ARM tree. The CE4100 SoC which is x86 has also the SPI core. This patch moves the ssp and spi files from arm/mach-pxa and plat-pxa to include/linux where the CE4100 can access them. 2009-12-01[ARM] pxa: allow platforms to control which uarts are registeredRussell King
For some platforms, it is inappropriate to register all PXA UARTs. In some cases, the UARTs may not be used, and in others we may want to avoid registering the UARTs to allow other drivers (eg, FICP) to make use of the UART. In addition, a while back there was a request to be able to pass platform data to the UART driver. This patch enables all of this by providing functions platforms can call to register each individual UART. hx4700 touchscreen events were being dropped in ads7846_rx() because their pressure values consistently exceeded the platform maximum of 512; a sample of 256 pressure values were in the range 531 to 815.
