2008-10-27net: convert print_mac to %pMJohannes Berg
This converts pretty much everything to print_mac. There were a few things that had conflicts which I have just dropped for now, no harm done. if (net_ratelimit()) IEEE80211_DEBUG_DROP(...) can pollute the logs with messages like: printk: 1 messages suppressed. printk: 2 messages suppressed. printk: 7 messages suppressed. if debugging information is disabled. These messages are printed by net_ratelimit(). Add a wrapper to net_ratelimit() that takes into account the log level, so that net_ratelimit() is called only when we really want to print something. Commits 58b053e4ce9d2fc3023645c1b96e537c72aa8d9a ("Update arch/ to use sg helpers") 45711f1af6eff1a6d010703b4862e0d2b9afd056 ("[SG] Update drivers to use sg helpers") fa05f1286be25a8ce915c5dd492aea61126b3f33 ("Update net/ to use sg helpers") converted many files to use the scatter gather helpers without ensuring that the necessary headerfile <linux/scatterlist> is included. This happened to work for ia64, powerpc, sparc64 and x86 because they happened to drag in that file via their <asm/dma-mapping.h>. On most of the others this probably broke. Instead of increasing the header file spider web I choose to include <linux/scatterlist.h> directly into the affectes files. There are messages arising from ieee80211_crypt that spam the logs of casual users. These are changed to be logged only if the user specifically requests the IEEE80211_DEBUG_DROP messages. 2006-08-29[PATCH] ieee80211: Fix TKIP and WEP decryption error on SMP machinesZhu Yi
The IEEE80211 TKIP and WEP Tx and Rx paths use the same crypto_tfm to encrypt and decrypt data. During the encrypt and decrypt process, both of them will set a new key to crypto_tfm. If they happen on the same time, it will corrupt the crypto_tfm. Thus users will receive an ICV error or Michael MIC error. This only likely to happen on SMP box with heavy traffic both on Tx and Rx. TKIP encryption Originally, TKIP encryption issues msdu + mpdu encryption on every fragment. Change the behavior to msdu encryption on the whole packet, then mpdu encryption on every fragment. 2. Avoid repeated fragmentation when !host_encrypt. We only need do fragmentation when using host encryption. Otherwise we only need pass the whole packet to driver, letting driver do the fragmentation. 3. change the txb->payload_size to correct value FW will use this value to determine whether to do fragmentation. If we pass the wrong value, fw may cut on the wrong bound which will make decryption fail when we do host encryption. NOTE: This requires changing drivers (hostap) that have extra_prefix_len used within them (structure member name change).
